On the issue of the development of cross-strait economic and trade relations, the mainland, proceeding from the overall situation of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and not affected by changes in the political situation on the island, continues to promote cross-strait economic exchanges and cooperation and promote cross-strait economic integration. At present, Taiwan's Tsai authorities are pursuing the strategy of "going to China and pro-America" politically and "separating from China and merging with the United States" economically. At the same time, the system of international industrial division of labor, the global economic chain and the industrial chain are also undergoing new adjustment and reconstruction. This major change in the global economic and trade pattern and the different economic and trade development routes between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait have brought new challenges to the future economic integration and development of the two sides of the strait.

II. The goal and path of economic integration and development between the two sides of the strait

No matter how the international situation and cross-strait relations change, the policy orientation of Chinese mainland in promoting cross-strait economic exchanges and cooperation and cross-strait economic integration and development will not change, but will only be continuously promoted and strengthened. this is the inevitable requirement and the only way to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation under the new historical position.

(1) Continue to promote Taiwan's integration into the Chinese economic system, so as to avoid the result of "breaking the gap" between Taiwan's economy and the mainland's economy.

(2) Promoting cross-strait economic regional integration and establishing a cross-strait common market is one of the important objectives of institutionalized arrangements for cross-strait economic integration and development.

(3) Taiwan and the mainland jointly integrate into the construction of "Belt and Road Initiative". 

(4) Integrating Taiwan into the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.

(5) Cross-strait cooperation to jointly establish industry standards or technical standards is the key to achieving deep economic integration between the two sides of the strait.

(6) The realization of cross-strait basic implementation of connectivity is an important material basis for promoting cross-strait economic integration and development.

(7) Taiwan businessmen should become an important force in promoting cross-strait economic integration and development at the present stage, and Taiwan politics cannot fundamentally block the fundamental direction of cross-strait economic exchanges, cooperation and integration.

(8) At the present stage, the economic integration and development of the two sides of the strait can be promoted from some industries or fields as a breakthrough.
