On December 25, CRF vice chairman, member of the Academic Divisions of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, deputy director of Academy Division of International Studies of CASS Zhou Hong hosted the "Retrospect and Prospect" symposium exploring China's development in Europe and the pressing issues facing Europe. Participants expressed their views on topics of "the 13th Five-Year Plan in Developing China-EU Relations", "One Belt and One Road Strategy in Developing China-EU Relations", "Ukrine Crisis, Refugee Crisis and Terrorism Threat Facing Europe", "China-EU Security Cooperation" and "Opputunities and Challenges in China-EU Cooperation". Speakers included: Chen Xin, Head of the Department of European Economy at the Institute of European Studies, CASS Cheng Weidong, Deputy Director of the Institute of European Studies, CASS Cui Hongjian, Senior Research Fellow & Director of the Department of European Studies at the China Institute of International Studies Ding Yifan, Former Deputy Director of Institute of World Development of Development Research Center of the State Council Feng Zhongping, Vice President of China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations Jin Ling, Associate Research Fellow of Department of European Studies at the China Institute of International Studies Sun Liwei, Economic & Commercial Counsellor at China's Embassy to Norway Wang Haifeng, Director of International Economics at the Institute for International Economic Research, Under the National Development and Reform Commission Zhang Jian, Deputy Director of the European Research Institute at the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations
