CRF Program Officers Attended the Opening Ceremony of 2015 China-Pakistan Year of Friendly Exchanges

The Opening Ceremony of 2015 China-Pakistan Year of Friendly Exchanges, co-hosted by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and the Embassy of Pakistan, was held in Beijing on January 28, 2015. Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao, Pakistan's National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and the Ambassador of Pakistan to China Masood Khalid attended the inauguration of celebrations of the Friendly Exchanges Year. Attendees from Chinese side included Vice Chairperson of NPC Foreign Affairs Committee Wang Xiaochu, Assistant Minister CPC Li Jun, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Jianchao and President of China-Pakistan Friendship Association Sha Zukang. CRF program officers Li Yinglu and Sun Zhongpu attended the ceremony.

In a bilateral meeting ahead of the ceremony, Li said China attaches great importance to their all-weather strategic partnership with Pakistan. Li hoped both sides could actively conduct exchanges in all fields to strengthen people-to-people relations so that bilateral goodwill will be deeply rooted in hearts of the two peoples.

Sadiq said all parties in Pakistan share consensus on developing friendship with China and are willing to work with China to advance friendly relations.
